COS Hong Kong HQ Office
Designed for COS APAC team the Hong Kong headquarter is a collection of multiple meeting rooms, break out spaces, pantry, a visual workshop and library area. Meeting room walls can be rearranged to give flexibility and create multi-purpose spaces. The brief was to design a space keeping in mind the COS brand DNA - timeless, modern, tactile and functional.
The concept was to create space within space where people can gather; a space for people to be connected and inspire others but also at the same time; it’s a space about the individual. Materials such as wood and concrete are used for it’s tactile nature which will age naturally over time. Minimal black frame and skirting details resemble the classic design of the rails and arches in the COS stores. Storage spaces carefully planned to keep work desks clean and free of distraction. The cladding of walls and columns with warm grey felt for its acoustic and softness properties which can also be used by staff for pinning inspiration and art. Also, referencing the companies big sister roots - H&M, the space was furnished with iconic pieces from Scandinavian designers. And last, furniture pieces such as work desks, cabinetry and shelving were especially designed to fit the space and the user’s needs.
